Tamur River Rafting
No expedition to Nepal would be complete without a trek in the Himalayas and its no accident the one of the world's finest rivers starts with one of Nepal's most scenic treks. Our 4-day trekking route follows a 3000-meter ridge through beautiful woods and meadows with magnificent views of Kanchen Junga, Makalu and the Everest, before dropping into the lush villages of the Tamur valley. Tamur River Rafting is the truly memorable approach on this standard white water descent. The Tamur and its tributaries drain the snows of Kanchen Junga, third highest peak in the world. Constrained by steep valley walls, it becomes Nepal's sixth largest river and one of the most remote white water river trips of its length. 120 km of breath Taking River takes us on a journey through the heart of eastern Nepal. The Tamur Rafting is a challenging expedition, however, our guides have the skill and experience to bring this expedition within the capability of anyone with a good and positive attitude. The Tamur offers a unique six days of white water taken at a leisurely pace with plenty of time to venture up hidden side valleys and explore remote villages.

| 01. | We fly to Biratnagar that morning. We catch a private bus that will take us on a five-hour journey to Basantapur, which is the real starting point for the expedition. |
| 02-05. | We start our four-day trek into the heart of eastern Nepal. It does not take long to leave all the noise and hassle of town life behind. We will stop for lunch and relax and enjoy the views and culture of local village life. You will only be carrying a water bottle and camera on you as our team of porters carries the main loads (including kayaks and rafts!) We make camp. |
| 06. | The white water action begins. Your expedition leader and your raft guide will give you a detailed safety briefing. Then for the rest of the day you are in a turquoise blue class 4 white water paradises. |
| 07. | The whole day passing through villages and spotting wildlife particular to this area. |
| 08. | Time to have a break. We have given you a rest day to enjoy the beach life or go to village side seeing . |
| 09. | The action continues as you tackle more class 2 - 4 rapids all the way. |
| 10. | Relax and enjoy a mellow day on the river as you float through the day with the occasional "all forward call" to bring you back into action. |
| 11. | There could not be a better way to end an expedition like this other than on continuous class 4 for half a day. This is a "Perfect Action on a Perfect River". We end the journey in Chatara. Those who choose to fly will be taken by taxi to Biratnagar airport to catch their flight (1 hour) either takes a bus to kathmandu. |

I’ve just retuned to Kathmandu competing the Annapurna circuit trekking organized by Outshine Adventures. They provide me with an excellent guide Pralhad and porter Hari. They took care of me for over 15 days. First going at the adjective pace and then selecting very good guest house all the way until Pokhara. Pralhad also answered all my too many questions about Nepal, its culture and its people.
